Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Prayer Walking The Nation (“we”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile app.
This document is for general information only and is not legal advice.
1. What information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect details such as your email address and (depending on how you sign in) profile details you provide.
Walk and location data. If you start a prayer walk, the app uses your device’s location permissions to record GPS data for the route you walk. This can include points along your path and information derived from your walk (for example, distance and duration).
Community sharing settings. You can choose whether your walk appears in a community map. If enabled, the app displays a generalized version of your walk (for example, initials and generalized/shared location views).
Contact form messages. If you use the contact form on the website, we collect the information you submit (such as name, email, subject, and message) so we can respond to you.
Device storage. The app stores authentication credentials and temporary data on your device to support sign-in and to help complete uploads when connectivity is limited.
2. How we use your information
We use information to provide and maintain the app features, including account sign-in, saving your prayer walks, showing your history, and supporting the community map experience.
We also use submitted contact form information to communicate with you and to improve our services.
We may use automated checks to help protect against spam and abuse.
3. When we share information
Community map. If you enable sharing, the app may display generalized information derived from your walks to other app users within the community map feature.
Service providers. We may use third-party services to help us operate the app (for example, infrastructure for messaging and email). These providers are expected to protect information in accordance with applicable obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. This includes protecting credentials and using secure communication methods when available.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you have questions about security, please contact us using the details in the footer.
5. Your choices
Sharing settings. You can opt out of community sharing by changing your sharing preference in the app.
Deleting a walk. You can delete saved prayer walks in the app where available.
Contact us. If you would like to request access to your data, correction, or deletion, please contact us and include enough information for us to verify your request.
6. International and legal compliance
We may process information in the countries where our service providers operate. We will handle information in accordance with applicable data protection laws where those laws apply.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update this page.
